:: WAVESPEC has experience in LNG going back more than 40 years to the beginning of marine LNG transport. We are leaders in the field of managing LNG projects from conception, feasibility study and FEEDS through to plan approval, construction supervisions and sea & gas trials. Wavespec has unsurpassed strength and depth of knowledge in LNG carrier design and operations. We are involved with the latest concepts in larger ships, ice class vessels, reliquefaction systems, dual fuel propulsion systems and floating LNG designs.

:: WAVESPEC employs over 50 people on LNG projects worldwide. These resources are working in all the major LNGC shipyards, on more than 50 of the new LNG ships, and in the development of many new LNG projects.
:: WAVESPEC has, in its offices in Maldon, a core team of dedicated professionals, including Marine Engineers, Naval Architects, Electrical Engineers, Control and Instrumentation Engineers, Cryogenic and Cargo Handling specialists. Included in this core team are two of the industries most highly experienced containment specialists, both of whom have carried out extensive work on all the major containment systems while employed by a major Classification Society and by WAVESPEC.
:: WAVESPEC carried out a design development program in conjunction with a major client for the design development and assessment of different propulsion systems, different vessel sizes and the introduction of new equipment onboard LNG Carriers. This programme resulted in orders being placed in Korean Shipyards that have fundamentally changed the design of LNG Carriers.
:: WAVESPEC is actively involved in new technologies in the transport of gas by sea. This includes new developments in LNG containment systems and in development of CNG (Compressed Natural Gas) systems in the marine environment. It is the only consultancy to have taken a CNG system through the Lloyds Register "Approval in Principle" procedures for use in the marine sector.
WAVESPEC in conjunction with its sister company, Braemar Shipping Energy Services (BS-ES), provides a full range of technical and commercial consultancy services to a wide range of clients. Recent projects include a consultancy for the purchase and technical aspects of LNG ship sourcing, vessel long term time charter and shipping, and proposals to major oil and gas companies for expansion and streamlining of LNG ship management support services and during tendering for third party LNG ship management services.
