Offshore FPSOs, FSUs and Flotels

These projects have taken a variety of forms, including conversion of existing tonnage to offshore use, new build projects for dedicated applications and assessment of older working units.

In the case of vessel conversions, we have been involved in the assessment of candidate ships for conversion, assessing cost for conversion and highlighting the potential issues to owners or purchasers.

These studies have also included the assessment and review of shipyard conversion specifications and costs, liaison with Classification Societies, through life costs, etc.

Wavespec has also provided teams of specialists to oversee conversion and commissioning of such vessels

In the case of specialist, dedicated new building units we have been involved in the design development, held technical discussions with potential constructors and owners and participated in development of the final specifications.

Thereafter we have provided dedicated teams of specialists to oversee construction, positioning and final commissioning of the unit.
