Wavespec is a well-established marine engineering consultancy holding accreditation to BS EN ISO 9001: 2000 (awarded by LRQA), based in Maldon in Essex.
Wavespec Limited provides a full range of consultancy services to clients in every part of the globe.
These services include vessel condition surveys, vessel pre-purchase inspections, vessel condition assessments, dynamic positioning (DP) audits, failure mode and effect analysis (FMEA) studies for off-shore and DP vessels, safety audits, project management of vessel construction and vessel conversion, development of repair specifications, contract negotiations, vessel design development and review, plan approval, construction supervision, guarantee claim follow up and operational support.
We are also one of the few consultancies carrying out Shipyard Risk Assessments for insurance underwriting syndicates under the Joint Hull accords (JH143).
Wavespec Limited was formed in early 1993 and, from its inception, has maintained as its core centre of excellence the design and construction of vessels to carry liquids in bulk.
This includes crude oil, oil products, chemicals, liquid petroleum and liquid natural gases.
Wavespec Limited has built up a team of highly committed professional marine engineers, naval architects, control and automation specialists, electrical engineers, cargo systems specialists and dynamic positioning specialists, who have been heavily involved in a wide variety of projects to which they bring enormous depth of experience.
Wavespec Limited maintains close liaison with all the Classification Societies and the maritime regulatory bodies. We are appointed as non-exclusive surveyors to the Barbados Ship Registry.
In April 1998, Wavespec Limited was honoured by Her Majesty The Queen with the Award for Export Achievement, the only Marine Consultancy ever to receive this award.
